Welcome/Bienvenue

Dear Friends,

Two years ago I was elected as Member of Parliament for the Riding of Toronto Centre after the tragic passing of Robert Avery. Through my work as your elected representative I have had the opportunity to be involved in a wide assortment of community life. I have come to learn that Toronto Centre is a rich and vibrant constituency and that my role is to represent your diversity to the best of my ability. I ensure that your views and your concerns are presented before Parliament and ensuring that Government is accessible to all of my constituents.

This website facilitates a means for you to get into contact with me to ensure that every one will have a chance to be involved. I know, that as neighbours we hold a number of common issues. Ranging from affordable housing to better infrastructure. The well-being of our troops and support for the arts. Crime prevention and the protection of the environment. We will work together in a continual effort to ensure equal opportunities for all out citizens, and ensuring that equal rights are preserved and protected for all.

To succeed at home we must also succeed on the international front. My constituents express interest in global matters and recognize the issues facing our nation on a global stage both as a leader in peacekeeping as well as an important mediator in international disputes. I am proud and fortunate to have served as the Minister Without Portfolio under Prime Minister Thorpe’s government and have had the opportunity to deal directly with the issues facing our Canadian Forces. This experience serves me well in my capacity as a Parliamentarian.

If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me via my offices.

Sincerely,
