Miscellaneous Manuscripts, Stories and Novels.
This is a collection of my assorted works, my views on them, and the inspiration
behind each piece. The Works can be found under the Online Books link above.
Return of the Sun |
| My first ever print book. Wow what do I say that can
do that feeling justice I started to write a book, mainly to clear my head
from all the Will Carter junk kicking around in there. I guess it was part
of me wanting to prove to myself that I was capable of writing more than
the same characters. I flowed with it and worked hard trying to explain
the situations I encountered when I returned to England in 1997.
I remained there for two years, went through similar trials with the English
Civil service, and also with the situation arising from Dickie.
I often get who is the inspiration behind Luke, well he is two people
I knew, a guy called Stuart who was my next-door neighbour and a petulant
boy in school who I later met and we really hit it off. The other is a
guy named Luke I knew in Eastbourne, now works for the MET in London.
Dickie I get asked about a lot as well, that is one person, the situation
is twisted and exaggerated… mildly… but he also existed. There
is a lot more to that story as well, and maybe I’ll tell it if ever
I decide to write a second book.
Will there be a second book? I don’t know yet, I said what I wanted
to say with the first book, it’s a love story, and a story about
two brothers one good and one bad.

Radé |
| Ha!, Talk about books that were never meant to be.
I wrote this one to be the back story behind my D&D character. I felt guilty
about not releasing anything for awhile as I was working on Sigil at the
time. And Well here it is.
What’s the deal? Well Radé is in love with the son of his
fathers arch nemesis. A boy he was sent to go kill. Needless to say in
a D&D game this means poor ol’Chrissy gets abused by the Story
Teller. Ah well that is the price I get for writing this.
Will there be more? Yep when I have time spare from writing the Peligian
Heresy and Carter’s Rebellion.

Chatsworth House |
| Wow, Jason… the inspiration behind Peter in that
story. Dear god I could write a book about that boy, if I knew where to
begin it.
Ever love someone and have them love you back just as much, only to know
that your worlds are so different that it can never be? Now make that
boy your childhood sweet heart…
Combine that with old English Upper classes.
And throw in a Mother not afraid to give a lecture that “My son
is not gay” to you over a conference call with your boss standing
over your shoulder.
I love him, will always love him. Yes its real, he was my rock in a very
unhappy and terrifying point in my life. So I wrote this short story,
because it happened like that, my teacher asking me how he was. They all
knew, and I wanted to sum that up in a quick piece to remind me, like
a flicker on a bus window, of a beautiful young man that loved me back.

In the Shadows |
| Good luck finding this one, I can’t.
It was my attempt at fan fiction without actually featuring the characters
in the universe. I enjoyed it, but it was going nowhere so I stopped writing
it. I kind of prefer my own world, my own setting and my own characters.
If you do find a copy by all means I’d love to get my paws on it.

Earning Wings |
| This is a project I aborted early in. I liked the feel,
1940’s Dalmation coast, WWII. A POW camp, but it started to get so
much like Hart’s War that I didn’t want to continue with it.
There was no real point to duplicating anothers work.
Interestingly a lot of the characters appear in The Falcon Banner. It’s
been invaluable in helping me define some interesting personalities and
makign a good work much better.
